He was standing in an old road, rutted and ancient, that wound up a black hill towards the sky, where a great flock of black birds was gathering. The birds were like black letters against the grey of the sky. He thought that in a moment he would understand what the writing meant. The stones in the ancient road were symbols foretelling the travelers journey.

Three Bankers and a crow
I know we have not written much here about Distributism. That is because, even though it is a topic near and dear to my heart and that of my namesake, it is a mammoth and far reaching topic that would need to be explained from the beginning because it not only is no longer a movement it is forgotten in the modern world. Or so I thought until I saw this--an advertisement that has echoes of actual distributism (even if the economics presented are a little fuzzy). Enjoy and consider this a precursor to a larger discussion
